Suited Up

The following text is a little love letter to one of my favourite garments ever since:

The Suit

I’m fond of buisness suits…or suits in general…or just two-piece sets. There is this thing with a matching top and bottom, something elegant yet cool.

I love when a man wears a suit but when a woman does it has that little extra: It shows that you are a strong, independent and emancipated woman. So why not leave your dresses at home more often and change it with a suit?

There are so many occassions when a suit can be as beautiful (and maybe a bit more special) than a dress: Weddings, parties, meetings…

You can go all dressed up so why not go all suited up?

Wearing a suit can be as versatile as wearing a dress. The possible combinations range from cool streetstyle options with a pair of sneakers to some feminie and classy ones with a wonderful pair of pointed heels.

You can wear a trench loosly over the shoulders above your two-piece set or wear a lace bralette underneath your V-neck blazer. The options are endless. There is another wonderful thing about it: You can devide the two parts as well so you have keypieces for other looks 😉

 The Look

I decided to go for a playful and sportive look this time. Ruffles are one of my favourite trends since last year so when I saw that ruffled suit at H&M I was delighted. I thought about some ways to combine it but went for the Puma Heart sneakers (btw: my first pair! 😀 ) as the double breasted blazer is a true buisness piece I had to dress it down a little.

As it was a bit cold that day I wore a black turtleneck underneath and combined it with my black clutch by Liebeskind Berlin.

Do you have a suit in your closet? Which combination is your favourite?

Have a lovely week!
