Do you know these situations which affect you so deeply that your thoughts start to move in circles?
I decided to become an art-therapist a few years ago. And I never regretted this descision.
But today I want to write about something which is really important to me.
I went to a hospital earlier that day for a class in university.
It’s an art therapy class and it was the first time for me working with children.
So as the project started those kids were coming up to me with curious eyes.
In this very second I really knew that I have to do this job.
Those children looked so sad – they were hurt, sick and somehow lost in this world. I really can’t describe the feeling but as I’m sitting in front of my notebook now it really moves me to tears.
What I love about children in general is their curious and open-mind. The wish to understand the world and the people around them.
As you start working with them they seem to forget somehow the world around them. They smile from time to time. They talk to eachother.
I could have sat there all day and just watched them draw. It’s a beautiful thing when people start to overcome their fears or to forget their sorrows. At least for a while.
As I was a child I was pretty introverted and I am somehow until today. Talking wasn’t my thing. My mother often asked me what may be wrong with me when I had a sad face but I barely answered. It was hard for me to put my emotions into words which was probably the reason why I started drawing.
It’s a different way of thinking.
Your hands move while your head gets emptier and emptier with every new brush strike.
What are you doing for a living or planning to do?
Are you as happy with your descision as I am with mine right now?
Would really love to know!
Lots of love,

A very cool outfit! The combination is great! I love the kimono jacket and the mules so much – both are awsome :-*
