Oh, those early days of spring! This weekend was already so sunny, that you wouldn’t have thought it’s still February. And although it didn’t looked like it in the first place, we can’t change the fact that it’s cold especially during the early morning and evening hours. As soon as the sun’s away we have to face the cold.
What can we do now if we’d still like to welcome spring at least a bit?
I think the best thing is to start with colors. If you wear spring colors like wonderful pastels underneath your coat you will feel better immediately. In this case I decided to not go for pastels, but a pair of white jeans by Massimo Dutti (which is, at least in my eyes a spring / summer garment) and a white blouse by & Other Stories. The bright tones get associated with warmer days by many people and will spread the spring vibes we are all looking for.
I combined the white look with a beige coat by The Mercer N.Y.* and a matching hat by the Asos men section. By that I recreated one of the most hyped trends at the moment – the Cowboy/girl look. Everything western inspired is here to stay. And to be honest: this also reminds us of hot days sitting on the back of a horse, right ? 😉
Furthermore I have to stay on the trend train here because we also need to talk about another one which has made its way to this look in form of the booties. Despite the cool cut with some nice eye-catching buckles the snake pattern is also quite present. Animal prints in every possible variation can be spotted on social media atm and although I’m not a huge fan of some of those I really liked it in case of the boots.
To complete the Cowgirl outfit I decided to wear my Jacquemus Praia bag. The bucket shape and brown straps go wonderfully with the overall intended vision of a western look.
What do you do to at least welcome spring a bit? What’s your latest favorite trend?
Lots of love,
